The analysis of results by type of services shows that in 2007 all business units of the Impel Group recorded an increase in sales revenue. The two biggest units – Facility Management (cleaning services and technical maintenance of facilities) and Security recorded in 2007 sales of PLN 367.9 million and 323.1 million respectively.
"In 2008 we intend to focus on further strengthening of the position of outsourcing services leader. We would like to maintain the upward trend of our revenue, including also last year with dynamics of 20%, which is a considerable achievement taking into consideration such a big scale of activities. This year we are particularly aiming to improve operating ratios through renegotiating contracts with clients and through improving the back-office area management. A growing number of orders, typical for Polish economy last year clashed with a dramatic increase in pay expectations of our employees, which as a result did not let us achieve a fair margin level. This situation cannot last. Our clients must agree to a price increase for the Impel Group’s services, proportionate to pay increases,"says Grzegorz Dzik, President of the Management Board of Impel SA.
Effectiveness of the Impel Group’s operations will improve owing to the implemented integrated IT system optimising information flow in all business areas e.g. customer relationship management (CRM), Contact Center, financial and accounting area management (ERP), human resources management (HR) and Infrastructure. The implemented system will enable us to reach the highest level of enterprise management and directly translate into growth of customer satisfaction.
Moreover, the Impel Group, which owns attractive pieces of land, continues its focus on property development activities. Based on the updated valuation carried out in December 2007 by Cushman&Wakefield, the real estate is worth nearly PLN 285 million. In accordance with the earlier forecasts, the property development activity was concentrated in one company. As provided for by an investment agreement, signed on February 27th 2008, the Impel Group’s real estate will be contributed in return for a block of shares of the company Vantage Development. Ultimately, Impel will hold 57.7 % of the shares. The other shares of the company belong to Grzegorz Dzik and Józef Biegaj – main shareholders of Impel SA.
Property development projects carried out in Wrocław by Vantage Development include, among others, the investment in ul. Ślężna, where about 350 high-standard flats will be built, and the construction of a housing estate in an area of 15 ha, located in ul. Rychtalska, i.e. in the immediate vicinity of Wrocław Old Town. Moreover, Impel plans to build a housing estate of single-family detached houses in Sadków near Wrocław. Applications for building permits for the investment’s first stage and for the investment in ul. Ślężna were submitted.
In 2008, divestment processes are planned, and also mergers with industry investors for selected Product Lines.
In the current year, Impel bets on further growth of competitiveness, improved margins and maintaining the position of the services market leader in Poland.
