Impel signed the final agreement on the acquisition of Brink’s

03 f 2013

On 21 March 2013, Impel Security Polska signed the final agreement on the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Brink's C.L. Polska Sp. z o.o., specializing in cash handling and transport services. The price of acquiring the entity was determined at PLN 2,982,066.

Impel signed the first, conditional, agreement on the acquisition of Brink's at the end of 2012. In March 2013, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), having conducted the antitrust proceedings, initiated upon the request submitted by Impel Security Polska, granted its consent to finalise the acquisition. The favourable decision of UOKiK made it possible to conclude the final agreement. Owing to this acquisition Impel Security Polska will strengthen its position on the highly specialized cash handling services market.

Brink's C.L. Polska Sp. z o.o. is a company operating predominantly in the area of cash handling services. These include the transport of cash and valuables, including the replenishment of self-service bank facilities, and cash processing. The company is distinguished by the high quality of provided services and high, standing out on the market, standards of its Cash Handling Centres. The company's operational infrastructure is well developed throughout the country - it runs its business through 16 Cash Handling Centres and 20 Cash-In-Transit Units. It renders its services to significant clients representing the banking sector. Brink's is a part of an American Group, Brink's Company.

Grzegorz Dzik, President of the Management Board of Impel S.A., pointed out that "The acquisition of Brink's C.L. Polska will enable us to develop dynamically in the area of highly specialized cash handling services and will strengthen our market position. At present, we provide such services through a network of Cash Handling Centres located throughout Poland, and owing to the acquisition of Brink's we will expand and strengthen our operational potential. We are planning to take over smoothly the management of the entity and to ensure the highest quality of service to its existing Clients. We hope for good cooperation with these Clients and expect that it will bring mutual measurable benefits. By acquiring Brink's C.L. Polska Sp. z o.o. we took another step towards the consolidation of the security market and opened up prospects for the further growth of the Impel Group."
